Area Science Park. Prize contest for theses that used patents

Area Science Park announces its annual prize contest for degree or doctoral theses where patents have been used as a source of information. The award is dedicated to memory of Bernardo Nobile, promoter of the PATLIB center at Area Science Park.

The engaging immersive online exhibition promotes a broader understanding of the relationship between IP Policy and AI and underpins issues raised for policy makers.

The AIPPI World Congress Online 2020 is taking place (5 – 14 October) and registrations are still open. AIPPI, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, is the world leading non-profit association dedicated to regulations and legal issues relating to intellectual property. It is a politically neutral, non-profit organization based in Switzerland, with approximately 9,000 members worldwide from over 125 countries. Innovation in batteries and electricity storage

Innovation in batteries and electricity storage – a joint study by EPO and IEA (International Energy Agency) is a global analysis based on patent data. It highlights results in terms of numerical growth of the sector and shows trends and future developments.

Italian MISE: R&D innovative solutions for a sustainable use of resources

The Italian Ministry for Economic Development (MISE) has launched a project that supports R&D innovative solutions for a sustainable use of resources. The programme aims at promoting a circular economy model whereby the value of products, materials and resources is maintained for as long as possible, and waste generation is minimized. The pre-completion procedure will be available from 26 October 2020, while applications can be submitted from 5 November 2020. Information can be found at this link.

Wärtsilä technology group receives a major contract to construct a plant for C02-neutral liquid transport fuels

In September 2020, Wärtsilä technology group has been awarded a major contract to supply and construct a plant for production of CO2-neutral liquid transport fuels. The plant will liquefy gas from the natural gas grid to produce carbon-neutral LNG. Located in Cologne, Germany, it will have a production capacity of approximately 100,000 tons per year.
